A great place to spend an hour or so - Several levels of antiques ranging from modern sculptured iron to old china and glass, stuffed deer heads hanging on the wall, figurines and more recent offerings of enamelled auto signs,... read more CDs, records and mannequins.
Owners are friendly and accommodating but you get the sense that shoplifting has been a problem as signs remind you of constant video surveillance. Shoplifters will be named and shamed, fair enough!
Parking out the front is limited, we had to find a side street.
Well worth a look for the quirky and unique.

ANTIQUE DOES NOT MEAN OLD/STUFFY/PAST IT'S USED BY DATE. - Most dictionaries describe antique as 'belonging to the past' / 'not modern' / 'bygone era goods and products' - and i have no doubt many people would accept these descriptions... read more and move on to the next new 'thing' that might attract them - but to step inside this amazing alladins cave of remarkably well presented/organized 'old' treasures is almost akin to being transported back in time to appreciate a multitude of previous eras all within the same building without the at times 'fustiness' of a museum - my own personal objective was to access an incredible 'stash' of ''outdated' paper road maps from a number of countries i plan to visit and was well rewarded with the choice of selection at extremely fair prices - unfortunately due to needing to catch a flight home i could only spend a short while in this fabulous place but the next time i visit my son in melbourne i plan to catch the ferry to devonport just to spend a decent few hours checking out all the other gems this charming place has to offer = an 'oldie'[?] but certainly a 'goodie' [google it!!].

Step inside and there are tens of thousands of items from Matchbox cars to collectible cards. Antique vintage, an enormous range. Furniture, Crockery, so much. There are a number of different stall holders, often specializing in particular themes.
Admittedly we are collectors and we managed to spend about three hours wandering around and spending a bit of money. Abra(spelling?) was incredibly helpful and accommodating, happily holding the various things we chose behind the counter and also helping me pack a larger item I purchased. John, the owner was also helpful and informative.
Loved every minute.

To fully appreciate the sheer scope of this incredible market-style shop, you need to spend at least an hour wandering through all the rooms, down the little aisles, and exploring every nook and cranny - this is where you find the gold.

As other reviewers have noted, there is a large variety in price points & the quality of items on offer, but this is part of the charm. Antique sideboard from the 1800's? Check! A book on Tasmanian rail history? Check! A copy of a Harry Potter wand? Check! Costume jewellery? Check! It's really a one stop shop for a carefully curated range of pretty much anything under the sun.
